Roles and Responsibilities

Job Description: The RA will work on areas linked to human development, including health, education, mobility, gender, employment, equity, and social protection. Main responsibilities include conducting review of relevant literature, analysis of both primary and secondary data using advanced statistical methods, and preparation of reports and data/policy briefs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate should have at least a Master’s degree in Economics/Demography/Statistics from a reputed Institute or University in India or abroad.
  • Prior courses or work experience in applied statistics/econometrics.
  • Familiarity with available socio-economic databases in India
  • Knowledge of statistical software: Advanced knowledge of Stata  

Desirable Qualification

  • Some work experience as a junior economic analyst/ research assistant, preferably in a research organization will be an added plus, though it is not mandatory.
  • Good drafting skills and prior experience in writing research reports/papers.

Prior knowledge of working in GIS and other mapping softwares.
