Job Description

  • Reporting directly to the Director General and providing executive support in a one-on-one working relationship;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external colleagues on all matters pertaining to the office of the Director General;
  • Execute a broad variety of administrative tasks assigned by the Director General including: managing an active calendar of appointments; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for meetings;
  • Execute critical deliverables, including drafting letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the Director General ability to effectively lead the organization by keeping the Director General well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, and following up appropriately.
  • Act as a one stop channel for smooth functioning of the Director General’s office and internal/external offices with a demonstrated ability to maintain credibility and trust.
  • Maintaining the current filing and database system, and looking for ways to improve current systems
  • Work productively and congenially as an integral member of NCAER with full accountability and be willing to help and seek help from other team members in the interest of achieving NCAER’s common goals
  • Any other functions or tasks as assigned by the Director General.

 Applicants must possess the following:

  • Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from a reputed University in India or abroad.
  • Strong track record of 5 to 10 years of experience at senior level supporting heads of institutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media platforms.
  • Sound organizational skills and ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with attention to details.
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, visitors, external agencies, and donors
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to meet multiple demands, demonstrate the highest level of service and response, and ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines. 

Duration of Appointment: Three years, with a provision for renewal depending on performance.

Compensation

A salary that is commensurate with NCAER’s policies and the experience of the right candidate.
