Nishika Pal is working as a Research Analyst at NCAER. She qualified for the UGC NET examination in Economics in 2019. She has an MSc in Financial Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, and a BA (Honours) in Economics from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. She contributed in index computation and data analysis for the ‘NCAER Land Records and Services Index (N-LRSI), 2020 and actively participated in pre-testing of the field survey and analysing data from the pre-testing and pilot stages of the ‘NCAER Prindex Survey 2021’. She is now working in the areas of macroeconomics and international trade. She is well-versed in softwares such as MS-word and Excel, STATA, and eviews.
She has co-authored working paper on “Assessing the Use of Land as Collateral for Accessing Credit from Institutional Sources in Rural India.”
