Falak Naz is working as a Research Analyst at NCAER. She has a degree in urban planning from Amity University. Her primary area of research includes urban planning and mapping. She has undertaken a wide variety of studies, including the NCAER Land Records Services Index (N-LRSI), 2020 and 2021, Evaluation Study of the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA), Assessment Study of Own Source of Revenue (OSR), Study to assess the Demand for Fisheries, and Designing and Proposing the Revised Fares for L&T Metro. She is also well-versed in software such as STATA, SPSS, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD.
Sadhna is a Research Team Assistant with the Computable General Equilibrium Modelling and Policy Analysis with Dr. Sanjib Pohit. She holds bachelor’s degrees from Kalindi College, University of Delhi. With over 26 years of experience, she has successfully led strategic initiatives.
She assists the team with various research related work including report formatting and helps in overall coordination as per the projects and team’s demands.
Nishika Pal is working as a Research Analyst at NCAER. She qualified for the UGC NET examination in Economics in 2019. She has an MSc in Financial Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, and a BA (Honours) in Economics from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. She contributed in index computation and data analysis for the ‘NCAER Land Records and Services Index (N-LRSI), 2020 and actively participated in pre-testing of the field survey and analysing data from the pre-testing and pilot stages of the ‘NCAER Prindex Survey 2021’. She is now working in the areas of macroeconomics and international trade. She is well-versed in softwares such as MS-word and Excel, STATA, and eviews.
She has co-authored working paper on “Assessing the Use of Land as Collateral for Accessing Credit from Institutional Sources in Rural India.”
Charu Jain is a Fellow at NCAER. Her areas of research interest includes education, gender, and socio-developmental changes. She has worked in the area of land & policy related issues, agriculture, steel, handloom sector, large-scale consumer studies, industrial surveys, housing indices, and macro-economic policy issues. Dr Jain has few national and international publications to her credit. She received her PhD in Economics from IGNOU, New Delhi and is Gold medallist during her Master’s program from GJUST, Hisar. She has authored a book on the ‘Quality of Secondary Education’ in India published by Springer. Before NCAER, she has worked at TNS India Ltd and PHD Chamber, New Delhi
Deepak Sanan recently retired from the Indian Administrative Service, where he was attached to the state of Himachal Pradesh. He held senior positions in public finance, land governance, and the water and sanitation sectors at both the state and national levels. He also had significant tenures in the health, urban development and power sectors. Currently, he is an advisor for projects on water and sanitation and land governance at a number of institutions in India. He has been a Consultant with the World Bank, IFAD, DFID, IDS Sussex and AusAid. He has also served as the India Country Team Leader in the Water and Sanitation Program (South Asia) at the World Bank.
Mr Sanan has been writing regularly on Centre-State relations, in particular, on creating incentives for more effective use of Central funds to overcome State budget constraints and improve governance. He has published extensively and presented papers on these issues at a number of conferences across India. Mr Sanan received his MA in Politics (IR) from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and BCom (Hons.) from Delhi University.
