Firoz Malik is a Research Analyst at NCAER within States, Sectors, Surveys, and Impact Evaluation unit. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Indira Gandhi National Open University and possesses strong expertise in field management, data management, data analysis, and survey coordination. He is highly skilled in statistical software, including STATA and Advanced Excel. Firoz has also enhanced his independent management abilities through survey-based studies, with a particular focus on coordination and ensuring data consistency.
Suvajit Banerjee is a Fellow at the NCAER in the Research Theme of Computable General Equilibrium Modelling and Policy Analysis. He did his Ph.D. in Economics at the Visva Bharati University. He is a macroeconomic modeler with more than 3 years of post-PhD experience in policy-oriented research, focusing on trade and environmental issues. His work centers on border carbon adjustment aspects and energy sector dynamics. He has provided consulting services to multilateral funding organizations such as the World Bank and IIED. His research and teaching interests revolve around energy and environmental economics.
Methodologically, he specializes in input-output analysis (IOA) and computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling. Additionally, he has been honoured with the 2023 Leontief Memorial Prize, the highest recognition for a young researcher in the field of input-output analysis and modeling awarded by the International Input-Output Association (IIOA).
Aakash Dev is a Fellow at the Centre for Gender and Macroeconomy (CGM) at the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER). He previously served as an Associate Fellow at CGM for approximately two years. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, where his doctoral research focused on labour macroeconomics, particularly the computation of job search models. He completed his Master’s in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from the University of Delhi.
Aakash has a diverse portfolio of experience spanning research, teaching, and consulting. He has worked with institutions such as Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, the National Centre for Financial Education, Amity University, and PricewaterhouseCoopers Private Limited.
Sovini Mondal is working as a Research Analyst at NCAER. She has a postgraduate degree in Economics specializing in International Trade from Symbiosis School of Economics, Pune. She has a working experience at CUTS International, where she worked on projects like analyzing the impact of the inverted duty structures on multiple sectors and women’s engagement in the warehousing sector, and interned at Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS), worked on municipal budget data for over 50 municipalities. Passionate about international trade and sustainable development, with her research interests include sampling methods, data collection, data quality, and quantitative research. She also has a knowledge of software such as Stata.
