Chandi Charan Mehentar is a Consultant at NCAER within the States, Sectors, Surveys, and Impact Evaluation unit.

I holds Doctorate degree in Economics from Centre for the Study of Regional Development (CSRD), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has worked as Faculty in Economics (Contract) at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida and also as Assistant Professor at DGIM Law College Faridabad, Haryana.

His research interests include Employment, Labour Market, Agricultural Economics, Land Markets, Social Exclusion and Caste Discrimination, Poverty and Inequality.

Sagnik Das

Sagnik Das is a Research Associate at NCAER within States, Sectors, Surveys, and Impact Evaluation unit. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Calcutta University, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the same institution. He has further enriched his skill set through advanced certification coursework in Data Science with Advanced Tableau.

Depannita Ghosh

Depannita Ghosh is a Senior Research Analyst at NCAER within the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Chair Unit. She completed her M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Economics from University of Calcutta. Proficient in software applications like Python and Stata. Her areas of interest are Advanced Macroeconomics, Development Economics, International Trade, Public Finance, Environmental Economics, Advanced Econometrics and Economics of Marx.

Sam Asher

Sam Asher is an Associate Professor of economics at Imperial College London Business School and cofounder of Development Data Lab. He was previously an assistant professor of international economics at Johns Hopkins SAIS and before that an economist at the Development Research Group (DECRG, World Bank). He is an associate of the Bureau for Research and the Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD) and the Centre for International Development (Harvard University).

He has published papers in the American Economic ReviewAmerican Economic Journal: Applied EconomicsEconomic JournalReview of Economics and StatisticsManagement Science, and the World Bank Economic Review.

He received his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and was then a postdoctoral research fellow in the Economics Department and Nuffield College, University of Oxford.
