This NCAER study aims at providing an economic assessment of the proposed investment in refinery infrastructure, in terms of the multiplier effect on output, income, labour inputs, and tax contribution. The economic impact analysis tracks: (i) the revenues generated by a business or economic activity and their disbursal as they flow through the economy at both the local and broader levels; and (ii) jobs created, as well as any spending that supports local enterprises and generates new tax revenues at different levels of government.
