He is a macroeconomic modeler with more than 3 years of post-PhD experience in policy-oriented research, focusing on trade and environmental issues. His work centers on border carbon adjustment aspects and energy sector dynamics. He has provided consulting services to multilateral funding organizations such as the World Bank and IIED. His research and teaching interests revolve around energy and environmental economics.
Methodologically, he specializes in input-output analysis (IOA) and computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling. Additionally, he has been honoured with the 2023 Leontief Memorial Prize, the highest recognition for a young researcher in the field of input-output analysis and modeling awarded by the International Input-Output Association (IIOA).
