NITI NCAER States Economic Forum

NITI Aayog and NCAER in collaboration with the 16th Finance Commission – have come together to establish a comprehensive repository to house state-level research, data, reports, papers, and expert commentary, and related information on the macro and fiscal landscape of each state including – demography; economic growth; socio economic indicators; public finances; and state fiscal rules.
The content is organised in four sections:
State Reports: These include in-depth reports on the macroeconomic and fiscal landscape, providing summaries for each of the 28 Indian states, helping users understand key trends and fiscal health at the state level.
Data Repository: A portal where users can customize and download datasets based on selected variables. This allows for detailed, flexible data analysis by choosing specific states, years, and other variables.
State Fiscal and Economic Dashboard: A visual tool created using Tableau that presents key economic variables in a graphical format. Users can track trends over time, compare states, and view national averages and medians for a comparative perspective.
Research and Commentary: This section features research papers, opinion articles (Op-Eds), and commentary on state finances, providing deeper insights into fiscal issues, as well as access to past Finance Commission reports.
